I am equal parts intrigued and excited—to be asked to contribute to a Virtual Reality project on the Fortress of Louisbourg. Looking forward to learning more about that possibility in the days ahead.

Research and writing of the story of The Lincolns marches on. Huge thanks go out to all the former members of the band and to a number of their keen fans. I have now passed what I believe was the halfway point. Onward I go.

Yesterday, at Nimbus Publishing in Halifax, I signed the contract for a book on The Lincolns. The working title at this stage is “Dreams to Remember: The Life and Times of The Lincolns”.

(“Dreams to a Remember” was an Otis Redding song The Lincolns regularly performed; it also alludes to the warm recollections people have for the band and its dances during the 1960s.)

I would love to have any recollections people want to share about Lincolns dances, at any of the many places they played over the years. I am also looking for fresh photos from the 1960s not seen before. If you have something to share, please us the “Contact” link on this site.
